Cover of Superbad (Unrated Wide screen Edition)
Almost all of my friends have used this phrase: "F*#! My Life". It's kind of funny because it says a lot in just three words. Just like the F' Word itself, it can take on many meanings. So when and where did the phrase "F*** My Life" appear?
Well, a lot people that I've asked, including myself, have mentioned that the first time they have experienced the phrase was during a scene taking place in a party store in the movie, Superbad - and that was back in 2007. Yes, in a party store where a clerk is walking through the end isles to witness a young, child-like customer, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, spilling beer all over the party store floor. Plasse (A.K.A. McLuvin) tells the Party Store clerk that he should probably clean up the mess on the floor. The Clerk then responds, "F*** My Life". Why was that so funny?
It was so funny at that time because to me, that phrase was fresh. The "F*** My Life" guy appeared so miserable and helpless which made it even more funny to hear those potty words coming out of his mouth. The phrase was so funny and important to others that a very successful website was built on it.
The website is known as Fmylife.com. From what I can see, it is an interactive bulletin to share people's Fmylife experiences - just really crappy times. To me, It's a funny way of giving your reason of why you have the Blues.
Can't think of a crappy, downright bluesy time in your life? Go read about the experiences of other people. Most of the experiences are hilarious!
