Musicians. Have you ever wanted to use your at-home recording equipment to collaborate with other musicians around the world? It's been out for a while now, but the beta just got better. I'm introducing the uninformed to Indaba Music.
Indaba Music lets you either start or join a musical project on their website. If you're new to the site, I recommend that you browse for a musician that is probably of your interest or genre. Just sign up for the site first because it's free and fast. After that, just search for some active sessions to join. It's pretty much like joining myspace or Facebook and then finding your friends.
After you've completed a profile (if you feel like it), and joined an active session, you can then enter this really neat session/waveform display. Whoever did the coding on this is a genius. Along the waveform, you can leave comments at a specific point in the audio spectrum regarding the artist's work - be nice! Still, this online mixing console's advanced features blow my mind.
Check it out!
